The amazing Holly Halsall, from Salvation Hairdressing of Lytham St Annes, has joined the 100 club with a top score distinction pass.
Despite the problems caused in the hair and beauty industry by the pandemic during 2021 many apprentices continued in their learning and were able to achieve some outstanding results in their End Point Assessments including the amazing Holly Halsall, from Salvation Hairdressing of Lytham St Annes, who joined the 100 club with a top score distinction pass.
Holly chose to pursue a career in hairdressing because she was really interested in working in the hair and beauty industry and when she joined Salvation Hairdressing of Lytham St Annes, she started out on a learning journey with Kleek Apprenticeships the Ofsted outstanding rated hair and beauty apprenticeship training provider on a Hair Professional Standard level 2 apprenticeship.
Holly started her apprenticeship in 2019 and was due to complete her learning in the early part of 2021 but due to the imposed lockdowns she had to wait for the country to re-open before finishing off her final modules. However, due to the support of her educator Christina, and the team at Kleek Apprenticeships she kept up her learning throughout lockdown with weekly zoom classes and training at home. Holly was full of praise for this support…
I have loved learning with Christina and the support that I have got from her has been brilliant. I really enjoyed all the classes on zoom through lockdown and I am so glad that I worked hard.
Even with this amazing support and her own fantastic dedication to learning Holly was still nervous when it came to sitting her End Point Assessment, the exam at the end of her course, but once again Christina came to the rescue…
Christina really supported me, we had lots of discussions and did a lot of preparation over the phone the day before. She filled me with confidence, and I just felt ready then. As soon as I met the assessor and got going, I was fine.
This support and Holly’s own hard work and determination alongside her maturity, skills and personality which were always shining through during her training, helped her achieve the perfect 100% pass which was very much deserved as Christina commented…
I am so happy for her I think she deserves that perfect score, for all the work she put in and her approach going into the EPA. It absolutely made my year hearing that news.
Holly is now looking to build on her perfect score by building her clientele and showing off her newly minted skills, but she isn’t going to rest on her laurels too long and has already inquired about taking the next steps on her learning journey. A decision which was fully supported by Christina…
I fully support her decision to wait a while until she feels like she can give it 100%. I know Holly well and I know she will not do anything unless she can give it her all. I will look forward to working with her on her level 3 in the future.
Everyone at Kleek Apprenticeships especially Christina is very proud of working with Holly and supporting her through her apprenticeship, we are looking forward to seeing how her journey continues and hope to support her again through her advanced apprenticeship.
