Today is #internationalwomensday and to celebrate Saks Apprenticeships are throwing the spotlight on the achievements of some of the ladies we have had the pleasure of working with over the last year.
Lets start with a couple of awe-inspiring stories where our learners went above and beyond their apprenticeship to help raise funds and awareness for some fantastic charities.
Ella King and client donating to The Little Princess Trust.
Ella King from Wish Hairdressing in Maidstone, joined together with her model to donate to the Little Princess Trust. Ella's nodel, who was helping Ella to complete her End Point Assessment wanted to continue the tradition of Wish Hairdressing to donate to this incredible charity.
Tia Kelsey's Facebook Live Head Shave.
Tia Kelsey an apprentice at Accolade Hairdressing in Chipstead, Surrey shaved her head live on Facebook for charity!
Not only did Tia complete this phenomenal achievement, she did it whilst raising funds for FIVE fantastic charities.
When asked why she wanted to do a Head shave Tia said she “chose to do the head shave as I wanted to do something drastic and try to raise as much money as possible"
Three Former Saks Apprenticeships Apprentices Showcased their Talents at Graduate Fashion Week.
Jessica Hesp from Saks Barnard Castle, Georgia Hunt from Saks Bishop Auckland and Megan Radcliffe from Saks Doncaster had the opportunity to add the finishing touches to some incredible designs from the emerging fashion designers along with the Collective and International shows.
Loads of 100% Distinctions were awarded to Saks Apprentices
Over the year over 99% of apprentices who sat their EPA passed their apprenticeships with nearly 30% of those passing with a distinction and 7% even scored full marks.
These awesome women are some of those who scored 100%.
Maisie Dix from Stylers in Dover started off her career with a touch of nerves but her professional dexterity and her attention to detail helped her achieve maximum marks in her EPA. Read More

One thing all these ladies have in common between themselves and their fellow apprentices is a dedication and determination to not let anything get in their way, to ensure they beat the challenges put before them and achieve the best they can.
Saks Apprenticeships are proud to have worked with them through these challenges and are happy to be working with the next generation of #extraordinaryladies.
