Having won an award, sponsored by HABIA, earlier in the evening for Supporting the Training of Apprentices to Achieve a Successful Outcome, we were delighted to be awarded the top prize as Overall Winner, sponsored by celebrity hairstylist and AHT Ambassador, Andrew Barton, and presented to our MD, Tina Ockerby and Head of Curriculum & Development, Mandy McMullen.

Tina Ockerby, commented, “This award recognises Kleek’s ongoing commitment to deliver outstanding best-in-class training to the hair and beauty industry, and we are thrilled to be recognised in this way by our peers and fellow professionals who seek to improve and develop hair and beauty training for all, Well done to the whole Kleek team.”

Mandy McMullen, added, “We are particularly thrilled for all of our educators who are doing amazing work to deliver outstanding training both in-salon and in our six academy bases. They have the best interest of their apprentices at the fore always and seek the best outcomes. Offering up additional support, 1-2-1 lessons and more to ensure their learners achieve their potential.”

Winning the Supporting the Training of Apprentices award was particularly important as it is all about how much Kleek Apprenticeships does as a company for its apprentices and individually through each and every apprentice’s dedicated educator.

The Awards took place after the AHT’s Annual Learning and Development Forum Conference. The awards acknowledge and recognise the valuable contributions that industry colleagues provide to enhance the curriculum and support both salons and learners alike.

The AHT was founded in 1963 by a group of hairdressing teachers as a national network of like-minded specialists who exchanged good practice and support. So these awards are all the more significant as they’re chosen by our peers.
