Cutting Through The Silence of Mental Health With Anthony Hutton

Former Big Brother winner and talented barber, Anthony Hutton, visited Kleek Darlington to talk about his inspiring initiative, Never Throw In The Towel Project.

Our students gained an insight into the incredible work Anthony does for mental health and suicide prevention, and how working in the hairdressing industry and having a simple conversation with someone in the chair can get people talking about their struggles.

Anthony spoke about how asking for a haircut rather than asking for help can be a lot easier for people, especially men, as well as opening up about his own journey through mental health challenges.

Remember, communication is key! As hair stylists, barbers, and beauty therapists, we can all play a vital role in addressing mental health issues.
