Getting a new purple hair transformation in support of his young son Lucas who is walking over 40 kilometres to raise money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
This week, Saks Academy in Darlington has been a part of a heartwarming story from client, Chris Barrett. Chris came in to the academy for a purple hair transformation in support of his young son Lucas who is walking over 40 kilometres to raise money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
Lucas, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 4, is embarking on the walking challenge to raise awareness of the invisible illness. He also hopes to help Crohn’s and Colitis UK, who provide invaluable advice and support to not only those suffering with the illness but to families, friends, employers and schools.
Chris’ new purple hairstyle put a smile on Lucas’ face and has made him that little bit more determined to complete the challenge. While his condition is unpredictable and lifelong, Lucas has always put on a brave face, not allowing the illness to define him or stop him from doing the things he loves.
