We’re delighted to share the results of our recent Ofsted inspection, which recognises Kleek Apprenticeships as continuing to set the benchmark for excellence in hair and beauty apprenticeship training.
Kleek Apprenticeships has been awarded a ‘Strong standard’ judgement across all areas – an exceptional achievement for the UK’s leading specialist hair and beauty training provider. With more than 25 years at the forefront of hair and beauty education, Kleek has consistently achieved leading Ofsted ratings since 2006.
The inspection recognised the high standards, consistency and impact of Kleek’s apprenticeship programmes, further cementing our reputation as a national centre of excellence for hairdressing, barbering and beauty therapy education.
Following inspection under Ofsted’s new Education Inspection Framework, Kleek became the first dedicated hair and beauty training provider to achieve a ‘Strong standard’ judgement across the full evaluation scale. This latest achievement reinforces our position as the No.1 trusted training provider in specialist apprenticeship training for the hair and beauty industry.
Our inspection took place in April, and Kleek was among the first hair and beauty training providers in the country to be assessed under Ofsted’s more rigorous and demanding new framework.
The ‘Strong standard’ judgement reflects the exceptional outcomes achieved by our learners and the consistently high standards delivered across the organisation.
Highlights from the report include:
- “[Educators’] continual reinforcement of high standards and professional values results in many apprentices achieving merit and distinction grades.”
- “Leaders understand their provision precisely and ensure apprentices benefit from consistently high-quality education and training.”
- “Staff at all levels both at academies and in workplaces set very high professional and personal standards for apprentices.”
- “Apprentices securely acquire extensive new skills in hairdressing and beauty therapy during their training. They benefit from highly valuable one-to-one support and coaching from expertly qualified and experienced educators.”
- “[Apprentices] know that by accomplishing an apprenticeship at Kleek they will have achieved and mastered the highest level of hairdressing or beauty therapy skills.”
- “Leaders persistently promote equality and diversity to help all apprentices recognise that everyone is unique."
The report also highlights Kleek’s ability to maintain exceptional standards while continuing to grow. Expanding from two academies to six, and increasing apprentice enrolment to 1,000 learners, Kleek continues to deliver on its commitment to quality, inclusion, innovation and learner success.
This achievement also reflects the dedication of our learners and employer partners. We are incredibly proud that our apprentices were praised throughout the report for their professionalism, commitment and passion for their chosen careers. Our educators and employers continue to play a vital role in developing the next generation of highly skilled hair and beauty professionals.
Tina Ockerby, Managing Director, said:
