Kleek Apprenticeships are finalists...again!
Kleek Apprenticeships has been shortlisted for Large Training Provider of the Year at the VTCT Skills Excellence Awards 2026, while hairdressing apprentice Amira Mehr from Saks Hair Wetherby has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year.
The VTCT Skills Excellence Awards recognise excellence across vocational and technical education, celebrating the achievements of learners, educators and training providers from across the UK, across 17 industry sectors, including hair and beauty.
The Large Training Provider of the Year shortlist recognises Kleek Apprenticeships' commitment to delivering industry-leading hairdressing, barbering and beauty apprenticeships. It also reflects the strong partnerships Kleek has built with salon employers across England to help train and develop future talent for the hair and beauty industry.
Amira's Apprentice of the Year nomination is recognition of the resilience, hard work and determination she has shown throughout her hairdressing apprenticeship, continuing to thrive despite significant personal challenges. Celebrating the news, her salon, Saks Hair Wetherby, shared its pride in her achievement, commenting: "A MASSIVE well done to our Amira for being nominated!"
The double recognition is a proud moment for everyone involved and highlights the impact apprenticeships can have within the hair and beauty sector.
Tina Ockerby, Managing Director of Kleek Apprenticeships, said:
"We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted in two categories at the VTCT Skills Excellence Awards 2026. Being recognised as a finalist for Large Training Provider of the Year is a testament to the dedication of our team and the quality of training we strive to deliver every day. We are equally proud of Amira's achievement. Her Apprentice of the Year nomination reflects the talent and determination she has shown throughout her apprenticeship, despite facing personal challenges. We wish all finalists the very best and look forward to celebrating together at the awards ceremony later this month."
The winners of the VTCT Skills Excellence Awards 2026 will be announced on 25th June at Rugby College.
Everyone at Kleek Apprenticeships will be keeping their fingers crossed. Wish us luck!
